R A C E - R U L E S !
We allow a variety of races and abilties on this site, but you must include your race and/or ability in your bio so we can add them to your profile. If your character gains a new ability or changes race, pm an admin so we can make the appropriate changes. Each character may have ONE genetic race (seer, half/quarter/eighth veela, half giant etc...) and/or ONE infected race (werewolf, vampire) and/or up to TWO abilities (legilimens, occlumens, metamorphagus, wandless magic, silent magic, animagus, parsel mouth etc...). If you are uncertain about a race or ability, double check with an admin. Some of these races and abilities are explained below in more detail.
Seers
Seers are the people who can see the future, however what they see may change and not always be true. You cannot god-mode as a seer, nor can you make up things that will majorly affect other people without running it past them and an admin. To be a seer, you must have a history of seers in the family.
Vampires
We do not want twilight vampires here. Our vampires drink blood, do not glow, are not incredibly beautiful, and have to take a potion to enable them to be in the sunlight. Vampires can only drink the blood of living animals, but please don't bite students or humans, keep to the animals in the forest. You must have been bitten by a vampire to be one. Our vampires are not immortal, and they do not stay young forever.
Werewolves
You have no wolf abilities until the full moon, around this time you are more cranky and tired. When transformed you cannot process things like you would as a human. Again, no biting students or humans UNLESS it is part of a plot line, in which case you must tell an admin. You must have been bitten by a werewolf. You are not immortal.
Metamorphagi
If you are a metamorphagus, you can change your appearance without the need for spells. You must have had a metamorphagus in the family within the last three generations as it is a genetic ability. These are extremely rare, and up until you are fifteen you will only be able to change hair and eye colour. After this you can begin changing features of the body.
Parselmouths
A parselmouth can speak to snakes, but no other animal. You must be a pureblood to have this ability, and having it does not mean you are in any way related to the dark side.
Legilimens
The people with the ability of legilimency can basically read another person's mind. A legilimens can also implant memories, emotions and events into another person's mind. If you have this ability you cannot god-mode what other people are thinking. Very few students may have this ability, it is something more common in adults.
Occlumens
The people with the ability of occlumency can close their minds against those with legilimency. Very few students may have this ability, it is also something more common in adults.
Veelas
If you are a veela you must have the typical traits (very pale hair and skin) and men will go wild around you. Only females can be full or half-veelas, a male veela would have to be very distantly related and so wouldn't have the same amazing beauty as a full or half female veela. A half-veela can perform magic and be called a witch, but she would inherit her magic from her father. A full-veela cannot perform magic but can turn into a bird.
Wandless magic
Students must be over 17 to be able to do wandless magic, and this is a difficult feat to accomplish. This is only taught to seventh years, no one in the lower years is permitted this ability.
Silent magic
This is both difficult to achieve and only taught from sixth year onwards. We're going to say your student needs to be older than 16 for casting basic silent spells (expelliarmus, accio etc.) and over 17 for more complex spells.
