The ground floor is host to the amazing entrance hall as well as the imposing great hall. Parties and feasts are held here, and you can keep track of house points while hanging out with friends.

The first floor hides Moaning Myrtle's bathroom (please tell me no one wants to go face a screaming girl ghost!) and the history of magic classroom. Time for a nap anyone?

Quite an empty floor with no classrooms, although many rooms here have been donated to prefects and teachers by the school for privacy.

If you have been injured you might want to head for the third floor, the hospital wing resides here along with a couple of classrooms.

The library is here for your study, and the storage room is hidden away for you to... Well, use your imagination really. Watch our for Peeves!

Here you can find the prefects' bathroom (check the pipes for Myrtle before you bathe guys!) and the muggle studies classroom.

The sixth floor is host to little more than a few classrooms littered around, yet the moving staircases seem to enjoy depositing students here. Perhaps the portraits on the walls can lend a hand.

The Room of Requirement exists on this floor, but it has yet to be found by a wandering student. The Head boy and Head girl will find their room here, as well as the arithmancy classroom.

The Black Lake is a large body of water located to the south of the castle. It is about half a mile in diameter and the Hogwarts plumbing network drains into it. It is home to a giant squid and a colony of Merpeople.

The greenhouses are located below the Bell Towers and are where many varieties of magical plants are grown. These plants are studied in Herbology classes, and are also sometimes used as potion ingredients.

The Forbidden Forest is forbidden to all students, as it home to many types of dangerous and foreign creatures, such as centaurs, Thestrals, unicorns, Hippogriffs and Acromantula.

The Whomping Willow is a new addition to the school, planted when Remus Lupin arrived so he can go to the Shrieking Shack without being seen.

The school has its own Quidditch pitch where each house's Quidditch teams practice and play games against each other. Each year will see a total of six inter-house matches, along with numerous training sessions by each house team.

Knockturn Alley is a shopping area off Diagon Alley in London. It is filled with shops devoted to the Dark Arts, including Borgin and Burkes, which specialises in objects that have curious and strong magical properties. Usually, unusual and dangerous people walk around there. When Tom Riddle graduated from Hogwarts he worked at Borgin and Burkes.

Hogsmeade is the only all-Wizarding village in Britain. It was founded by Hengist of Woodcroft. Hogsmeade is located at the northwest of Hogwarts Castle. Students may sometimes come on weekend trips, but only third year students and above with guardian permission are allowed to visit.

Godric's Hollow is a village in the West Country of England. It is a small community, which centers on a village square with only a church, a post office, a pub, and a few retail shops. The residential streets are lined with quaint cottages. According to A History of Magic, the graveyard was rumoured to be haunted.

London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom. Located in southeastern England, London is the centre of British commerce and government for both Muggles and wizards and witches.

Ottery St. Catchpole is a small town located in Devon, England along the Otter River. The village has both a Muggle and a magical community, the latter quietly established after the passing of the Statute of Secrecy in the seventeenth century
